Kerensa Diball is a London based performance maker and performer. She is inspired by the feminst performance art philosophy, the personal is political.
She works across live art, theatre, feminist performance art and socially-engaged performance. Each project aims to spotlight a contemporary dilema and through off-beat humour, real-life experience, unflinching honesty and thorough research, incite dynamic and poignant discussion.
Kerensa’s work is often collaborative. She has co-created with non-performers as This Side of the Tracks with Yuhui Ng-Rodriguez, musician and partner Roman Tucker, front-woman of the band RVG Romy Vager, Bridget Mackey and Simone French.
She has made work at a home for older persons, a bustling market, boxing gym, old arts building and into the homes of residents. We have so much potential to influence each other’s lives. She works with people to tell stories, celebrate community and break down barriers. Her focus is on the knowledge, generosity and individual quirks of people involved.
She has presented work at Next Wave, Melbourne Fringe, Vault Festival, Big West and has been commissioned by Geelong Arts Centre, Darebin Arts, City of Melbourne and Melbourne Fringe.
